Abstract

This paper presents a research conducted in the fall of 2019 and concerns the views of teachers in the field of classical education regarding the subject of ancient Greek. The theoretical starting point of this research is the archaeocentric pre-orientation of the Greek educational system, an orientation that gives special importance to the learning of the ancient Greek language. The findings of the research include the different views of men and women regarding the way of teaching as well as the differences between philologists in relation to their school of origin.
