In addition to the classic and well-known issues concerning gifted children and their treatment at school -which, however, are constantly expanding, as new research data emerges- the debate on giftedness also includes issues such as why involvement with gifted children is necessary, whether or not these children should be included in the category of "special children", but also how likely it is that there is any racist dimension in the discrimination of children in gifted and non-gifted ones. In this bibliographic paper, after a brief theoretical presentation of the main aspects of the issue, based on current scientific research, a thorough argumentation on the above issues is sought after, so that giftedness in Education is treated as comprehensively and -mainly- as effectively as possible.
