Τεχνολογίες της Πληροφορίας και της Επικοινωνίας και Πολλαπλοί Τύποι Νοημοσύνης: Διδασκαλία της Οδύσσειας με την Αξιοποίηση του Moodle

Abstract

The article aims at demonstrating the role of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the development of students’ multiple types of intelligence. Firstly, the article presents the basic assumptions of Howard Gardner’s theory. It also focuses on highlighting the opportunities offered by ICT to provide personalized, differentiated learning, which can meet and contribute to the development of each student’s special intelligence profile. It specifically underlines the use of multimedia in multiple representations of a subject’s content as a way to make it accessible to groups of students with different intelligence profiles. Finally, references are made to the possibilities offered by Learning Management Systems. More specifically, Moodle has been used as the basis on which a teaching proposal about Homer’s Odyssey has been developed and presented in detail. This Moodle-based method of teaching Homer could be used to strengthen students’ multiple intelligence types.
