Abstract

The article deals with an unedited letter of Photis Varelis (an important Greek writer and pedagogue), that was sent 25 years ago to young primary school pupils of Thrace. This letter is both a valuable lesson for its young recipients and a pedagogical tool for nowadays teachers, who have to cope with their multifunctional role in modern education.
