This particular article is concerned with the case study of a "community of learningand practice" (involving headteachers of schools in the province of Chania (http://active-leadership.weebly.com/) who were coordinated and encouraged by an action team which was consisted of voluntary executives of education, members as a body of the Scientific Network for Adult Education in Crete (SNAE.C, 2012, 2013). The main intention was the change of mentality inside the school unit emphasizing on communication, participating organization and andministration (solving problems and making decisions), boosting and initiative no “for“ the teachers/students but “with” the teachers /students (moral/sustainable educational leadership). Through the phases of organization and administration of the emerging stratigic plan, the individuals (educators/students) practise “democratic habits of the heart”, “co-responsibility-co-decision” and transformative learning in active citizenship (Terezaki-Andreadou, 2012).
