On the occasion of the pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2 and led to the suspension of schools, secondary school teachers were called upon to provide tele-education courses to their students. This paper aims to reflect teachers’ views on tele-education, in the hope of being another useful tool to strengthen the so-called ‘digital school’. The results showed that teachers are amenable to implement tele-education during the pandemic crisis, however it seems that there is ambiguity apropos its future use under normal conditions. Although, teachers consider themselves conversant with new technologies, the need of further specialized training on distance education was definitely reflected. Since teachers consider that their students are not ready for this, the state’s intrusive actions should not be limited to the provision of technical training, but should be designed in such a way as to highlight the comparative advantage of tele-education as an auxiliary teaching instrument.
