Abstract

This research aims at presenting the views of Greek primary and secondary teachers concerning the importance of their professional role in relation to other factors that influence their everyday educational procedure. The secondary aim is the finding of important fa ctors that have an impact on these views. The final result shows clearly the direction that educational policy should have, due to the fact that teacher himself/ herself emerges as the most important factor in the educational process.
