Abstract

Through average qualitative research, which was held on May-June 2015, the views of teachers of secondary school as far as their education were attempted to record. For this purpose the research tool of interview was used in order to investigate the training needs of teachers. The investigation showed that training programs are in general absent as concern the tutors of Private Tuition Education Centres, despite the fact that teachers consider their training compulsory. The detection of the content of the training needs shows that teachers converge on the need for training on issues related to teaching techniques, the reclamation of new technologies and communication. Moreover the respondents consider quite important that a training program should take into account the specific training needs of tutorials. Finally, tutors have the highest preference in small-scale training programs,  were rapporteurs are experienced teachers and specialist scientists and main organizing body the Federation of Educational Tutors Greece. The results of this survey can be used to design future training programs that will meet the needs of teachers of Private Tuition Education Centres.
