The current study aims to provide a conceptual framework for designing and implementing electronic/digital educational scenarios in Early Childhood Education. The study analyses the pedagogical principles underlying the integration of Information and Communication Technologies in Early Childhood Education along with the characteristics of digital educational scenarios appropriate for kindergarten classes.
In addition, the study attempts to support the theoretical justification of the necessity of ICT integration into early childhood educational practices by demonstrating examples of designing electronic teaching scenarios based on the use of interactive tools of the digital platform “Aesop» (http://aesop.iep .edu.gr).
