Abstract

Computational Thinking (CT) is a cognitive activity related to problem solving, based on subtraction, problem decomposition, algorithmic thinking and generalization. Consensus on the content of the term has been the result of scientific brainstorm that have taken place over the last decade. The purpose of this systematic bibliographic review is to investigate and capture the course of the concept of the CT from the conception of the idea to the present day and the critical points. The study of the evidence included in the analysis indicated that the idea of ​​the CT was located in 1940, but its first appearance as a term occurred many decades later. Jeanette Wing's placement in 2006 was determinant in its conceptual development, marking the passage from traditional to new, expanded conceptual, Computational Thought.
