About the Journal
The biannual bulletin Αρχείο aspires to be a framework for discussion and criticism of writings from the broader field of social sciences. Given that the life of a book is not limited to the content enclosed by its cover, but is expanded, given meaning and enriched by its course through history, and by the reactions it provokes, book criticism has been a constituent element of critical publicity since its historical beginnings. This project attempts to contribute to the broadening and deepening of critical dialogue in Greece, within and beyond the framework of university research and teaching.
Αρχείο presents and comments on writings in the social sciences, published in Greek, English, French and German. It is managed by a five-member editorial committee of members of the Department of Political Science of the University of Crete. The committee decides on the approval of a text for publication after evaluation. Each author is solely responsible for the content of their publication. Each issue is posted on the website of the University of Crete, and is freely available. The text should not exceed 3,000 words, should use the Chicago bibliographic reference style, and be submitted electronically as a .doc(x) file to the email address polar@pol.soc.uoc.gr.
