La revolte dΆli Pacha et la revolution hellenique. Une etude comparee

ΕΝ 1820, Ali Pacha de Jannina, se rebella contre le Sultan. Il opposa une resistance contre les troupes du souverain ottoman jusqu'en 1822. Dans l'intervalle, les Grecs declarerent leur independance en 1821. Alors qu'il etait financierement et militairement plus fort que les Grecs, les desseins dΆli Pacha deςurent rapidement. Car ses projets visaient l'autonomie politique au service de ses interets personnels. Α l'inverse, les Grecs ont montre des le debut leur fort attachement a l'idee d'independance nationale, une doctrine moderne, appreciee par les gouvernements europeens. Ce sentiment a declenche un mouvement general de sympathie, s'imposant en depit de l'echec militaire des revolutionnaires grecs. Et l'independance fut ainsi finalement acquise.
